Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox was born in Aberdeen Scotland on December 25 1954. Dorothy Farquharson & Thomas Allison Lennox is the full name given to her parents. Lennox studied flute, piano and harpsichord in the Royal Academy of Music London for three years in the 1970s. Lennox was paid a allowance and worked part-time in order to make ends meet. Lennox, while studying at the Royal Academy of Music in London, was dissatisfied about her performances as compared to the performance of her peers. She began considering different options. Lennox was a flute player in the band Dragons Playground in 1976. But she quit when the band was featured on I.T.V.s talent competition New Faces. She was the main vocalist in The Tourists a British pop band between 1977 and 1980. Here she met Dave Stewart who would later join Eurythmics. Lennox was working on her own first album Diva. The album was released in 1993. In both commercial terms and critically it was a huge hit. Nostalgia Lennoxs six-album solo, released in October 2014 is Nostalgia Lennox. The C.D. The C.D. comprises Lennox's favorite blues, jazz, and soul songs of her youth. Lepidoptera contains four improvised keyboard tracks. The E.P. This is the companion album to her album Now I Let the door open... artwork which was on display at Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. It's also her debut self-released album. Later, Lennox was joined by fellow artist Dave Stewart to form the pop duo Eurythmics. Medusa the studio album, which was that was released in 1995 features songs that are re-imagined from her most popular songs including No MoreI Always Love Yous (and The Whiter Shade of Pale). Her credits include seven studio albums by herself and a compilation.
