Maureen Denise McCormick, the sole child from Richard McCormick and Irene McCormick, was born in Woodland Hills California on 5 August 1956. Her father taught school as did her mother, who was a housewife. Michael Dennis Kevin is her three elder siblings. McCormick began singing and dancing in her early years and would often perform plays with puppets for the children from her neighborhood.
