Maureen Denise McCormick, the sole child from Richard McCormick and Irene McCormick, was born in Woodland Hills California on 5 August 1956. Her father taught school as did her mother, who was a housewife. Michael Dennis Kevin is her three elder siblings. McCormick began singing and dancing in her early years and would often perform plays with puppets for the children from her neighborhood. At the age of six, McCormick old, she won her first prize in the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley pageant. The show starred Florence Henderson and Robert Reed newlyweds, who shared an unmarried family. The series lasted 5 years. McCormick disclosed the story Heres the Story. Surviving Marcia Brady, and Finding My True Voice (published 2008) that McCormick almost lost her virginity in the hands of Barry Williams during the five-year run in the series.
